The Devotion Series started in April 2020 and it was born from the idea (and from the desire) to create work that was purely about counting, repetition, and meditation. 
 
Each section has 16 hash marks and there are 1,040 sections per page. The resulting image is a monotonous, organized, and structured composition that are the same, but each also unique. The lines move and are alive within the rigid confines of the grid -- a beautiful dichotomy of two seemingly opposite things being one and the same. 
 
Repetition is a form of change.
